Upcoming Projects

created by T R Bradshaw on July 27, 2012 12:37 PM

Once again, things are pretty busy, and I've only worked on projects off and on. In fact, the only reason I'm writing this now is because I'm ill. I was looking over my website (because I was playing around with Bit Grid), and I decided to update you all on what has been happening (or not happening).

Apps are on hold for now. I haven't really worked on any of my apps for a while; the platform game I'm working on is still where I left it—trying to overcome the lag from drawing a whole bunch of things on the screen all at once—a problem which I've mostly solved, but I still have a bit more to do on it before it's perfect. Besides that, the game has been barely begun, and I've contemplated preempting its completion with two other ideas that would (hopefully) be less complicated. Bit Grid has been selling pretty well, and I'd really like to get a new app out sometime soon.

Part of the "Saturn" maze from my upcoming book of mazes.

The reason my apps have suffered have been because of a few other projects I've been working on (as well as trying to hone a few skills that would be useful in my projects). There's always the stuff I'm writing, but that won't show up here for a long time yet. One thing not too far off is a book of mazes I've been working on. As a kid, I always liked drawing mazes—big ones with weird shapes and hundreds of connecting tunnels. Aside from being reasonably difficult, I think they look pretty cool. I have about eighteen or so of them (the number keeps changing, so right now I don't really know how many there are), and I'm still figuring out a few details about publishing and other things. Hopefully that will be available soon.

I've been working on my Python blog a little, but not a whole lot. As I continue, it takes longer and longer to create each entry because the programming topics are getting more and more complex. I'll try to get back to it soon.

There are a few other things in the works that I won't mention yet, but keep an eye out for my next projects. I don't know when they'll be here, so keep reading!
